1:50 I find it funny how he describes the World Tendency of Demons’s Souls as if everyone always has a choice of making any World black or white at will. Lol. For those who always have trouble with the game - especially if you keep trying to play in Human Form - you’ll likely never see both Tendencies. Personally though, I do like the idea of the World/Player Tendency mechanic, and would like to see them bring it back again. Because of the few required difficult bosses, I’d probably place Eldin Ring a rank or two higher, but in general, I agree with his reasoning. Considering how many bosses Eldin Ring has, I defeated a vast majority of them on only my first or second attempts. 23:55 At least the fountain in the Hunter’s Dream sells an unlimited amount of them, meaning you can just max out your stock early when they’re at their cheapest prices. There’s a handful of difficult boss fights, and some of the Chalice dungeons are definitely unforgiving, but overall, BB would still be in the middle of the list for me. Sekiro is the only game I haven’t fully played, but knowing I’ve never been great with Parrying in any of the games, I already knew Sekiro will be the hardest title for me.

To be honest, Malenia wasn't terribly difficult for me on my first playthrough, I'm not sure what it was or if I just got good rng on Waterfowl Dance. I genuinely died more to Maliketh, Valiant Gargoyles, and Morgott than I did her. It definitely did take a few days and it felt so good to finally get that remembrance, but it was a fun challenge, and never felt impossible, I remember getting her down to halfway through phase 2 on my first attempt and I started questioning if I'd been lied to about her difficulty, haha-

Honestly I found the king of puppets romeo easy same with Simon manus and scrapped watchman beat them 1st-3rd try (prob cause it was post nerf)

I've never understood why bloodborne is considered so highly in terms of difficulty. Sure the combat is different and requires proper learning, however bloodborne teaches you so well I feel like these aren't hurdles to difficulty. I found it really easy tbh, only really died to the dlc bosses, not Living failures, and Gascoigne, aswell as a bs glitch death to amygdala. I found souls 1 and 3 far harder, and wierldy I found souls 2 far easier than I thought I would, then again I played the og version

Even in the N64 version, Goht falls down if you collide with it while airborne from a ramp. The only differences for the 3DS version in that regard is that the ramps were made visually distinct from the rest of the ground, and it was made to fall down if you ram into it 5 times while on the ground. In that case, it was just given the 3DS Odolwa treatment. Odolwa in the 3DS version can be stunned either by dropping a Deku Bomb on him, or by attacking him 5 times with the sword. For the latter, you have to wait for him to attack and then get behind him. Frontal attacks have been rendered completely ineffective with his redesign.

I always stunned Majora's Mask with the Zora Cutters as a kid. The fact that it uses a fire beam at low health just solidified in my young mind that I was doing it as the devs intended, because obviously an endgame boss would introduce an attack that punished you for being careless after letting you get away with it earlier in the fight. Then I quickly connected the sound of it charging its fire beam with Koume's magic charging from Ocarina of Time and tried (successfully, obviously) to reflect it with the Mirror Shield. Also I later learned that the flower designs on the floor can be burrowed into and popped out of by Deku Link to nail Majora's Mask in the soft back as another way to stun it, like you do to Snappers in their soft belly. Honestly to me that just solidifies that the fire beam was given to Majora's Mask as a partial counter to the easiest ways to stun it. Well, aside from the obvious (not to mention intended) brokenness of Fierce Deity Link.

Did you know that the names of the Poe Sisters are a collective reference to a novel? It's not a direct reference because Joelle is a reference to the character Jo, which is a nickname for Josephine, but considering the character Jo from the novel was loosely based on the author of the novel from which the names were pulled I think it's poetic in a way that you encounter Joelle first. If you consider it to be a direct reference aside from that little naming difference, then Meg is the eldest (which fits considering how you find her after beating her sisters), Joelle is the second eldest, Beth is the second youngest, and Amy is the youngest (again fitting considering Amy's wide-open eyes compared to the rest).

It's not just in the Forest Temple where Navi warns you about Wallmasters. She always warns you when you step into a Wallmaster's territory to 'watch for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling. Even in the Shadow and Spirit Temple.

If you freeze one of Bongo Bongo's hands with an Ice Arrow, it makes the other into a fist to try to break the ice. Said hand is as invulnerable to being stunned at that point as either of the hands are when Bongo Bongo makes them into fists to throw punches. The reason Ice Arrows are considered a 'secret' way to beat Bongo Bongo is because while it's trying to break its frozen hand out of the ice, its eye is open. In other words, at the cost of a little bit of additional magic you only have to incapacitate one hand to be able to make the boss vulnerable. It'd work a lot better if you were able to equip multiple arrow types simultaneously. It's bad enough you have to turn off the Lens of Truth to do it, but you also have to switch back to the standard arrows and turn the Lens of Truth back on to get a good shot. Considering the devs went out of their way to program that use of the Ice Arrow into the Bongo Bongo fight, I'm surprised the ability to equip multiple arrow types simultaneously wasn't seen until the 3DS remake of Majora's Mask. One would think they'd have included it in the original design of Majora's Mask, considering that following this intentional programming seen in Bongo Bongo, the lead up to the Great Bay Temple Boss Key in Majora's Mask had you use a couple of Ice Arrows followed by a Fire Arrow, after which you have to use Ice Arrows in combat immediately after. That's a lot of menuing for such a short amount of time.

Volvagia's fight has quite a bit more nuance to it than you described. First off, did you know the sides of the platform you fight it on have the properties of a climbing wall? This plays pretty largely into the nuance I'm talking about. Before that though, during what I call its 'vulnerable phase' (the whac-a-mole thing), it will fake you out up to three times before popping its head up. The amount of times it fakes you out is dependent on how much damage it's taken. If I recall correctly, if it fakes you out three times, the next hit will defeat it. Next, during what I call 'flying phase A' (where it flies around, tries to breathe fire on you, and circles you a few times trying to slash you with its claws, you can shoot it in the head with the bow. This not only makes it abort this phase, it also does damage. The world record strat for the Volvagia time attack fight in Ocarina of Time 3D is to attack it with a jump attack after stunning it during its first 'vulnerable phase', and then shoot it enough during its first 'flying phase A' that attacking it with a jump attack during its second 'vulnerable phase' ends the fight. Now I get to where the 'climbing wall' properties of the platform's sides comes into play. Still talking about 'flying phase A', if at any time during 'flying phase A' you run Link off the edge of the platform so he grabs and starts clambering along the side, Volvagia immediately loses sight of Link and aborts 'flying phase A'. That's not the extent of this property's usefulness though. During what I call 'flying phase B' (where it goes up to the ceiling and starts dropping debris), clambering on the side of the platform keeps you well out of range of the debris, and since it follows Volvagia and thus gets centered on the hole it dives into toward the end of 'flying phase B', you can climb back up well in time to prepare for its next 'vulnerable phase'.

Phantom Ganon does not fake you out by 'turning back and appearing in another painting. There's a fake Phantom Ganon throughout the entire first phase. If the Phantom Ganon you're aiming at turns back, you were aiming at the wrong one. The fake is darker colored than the real one. Phantom Ganon also has an attack that not many people see or talk about. I think it only uses it if it's one hit of the Master Sword away from being beaten. It's telegraphed by some fireworks-looking burst of magic, and then Phantom Ganon charges at you with its staff while a trail of sparks like the initial burst follows behind. It's slow and travels in a straight line so it's easily dodged, but notable in that it does 3 hearts of damage if you get hit by it. That's the most damage anything does until the Iron Knuckles. Even Bongo Bongo's strongest attack, its full-on ram it does when its eye is only, only matches that amount of damage, not surpassing it.
